Timothy J. Black practices business and employment law, and serves as Of Counsel to MacDonald Law on select cases. When not working with MacDonald Law, Tim works for a variety of clients at his firm, Black Law, PLLC. In addition, Black serves as General Counsel to both domestic and international corporations.
Prior to entering the practice of law full-time, Attorney Black served 17 years as a law enforcement officer. During his tenure his duties ranged from officer and field training to special details and tactical executive officer for a multi-agency tactical team. He was elected for two terms as New England Police Benevolent Association Local 11 President where he was responsible for contract negotiations, management-labor relations, dispute resolutions and disciplinary matters. He was honored with the Agency’s “Leadership Award” in 2011, voted on by his peers and administration for his dedicated work in this area. He has also been honored with the Congressional Award for “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty” and the Agency’s highest honor, the “Medal of Valor”.
Attorney Black is also frequently sought out as a consultant by both public and private entities on risk management, internal policy development and review, use of force issues, workplace violence, regulatory compliance and information security. His clients include high profile professional athletes and athletic organizations.
He currently sits as a Board Member for Seacoast Mental Health.
